Michigan State went into Ohio Stadium and knocked off the unbeaten Buckeyes. They did it without Connor Cook. They did it by holding the high-powered Ohio State offense to 132 total yards and five first downs. They did it with a dual-quarterback system of Tyler O’Connor and Damion Terry. They did it thanks to an offensive game plan pulled from 1955. And finally, they did it with the help of kicker Michael Geiger’s right foot.
Geiger booted a 41-yard field goal as time expired to give the Spartans an improbable 17-14 victory.
He did not let his heroic moment pass without milking for all its worth. The Ohio native did 22 dramatic windmills down the field in front of a hostile crowd.
If he were Cam Newton, the world would’ve stop spinning.
