Jordan Spieth's Caddie Michael Greller Would Be Ranked 39th on PGA Tour Money List

Jordan Spieth and Michael Greller after TOUR Championship

Jordan Spieth’s caddie, Michael Greller, is a former sixth-grade teacher who quit his job in 2013 to lug around a golf bag fulltime. Greller has since made quite a bit of cash, with this season being his most lucrative and likely the most lucrative in caddie history. If we follow the percentages used by most players on Tour of 5% for a cut, 7% for a top 10 finish, and 10% for a win, Greller made over $2 million dollars this season. For what it’s worth, that’s enough to put him in 39th place on the PGA Tour money list for the 2014-2015 season.

When we compare that with Tiger Woods 2007 season with Steve Williams on his bag, Williams did a lot less work for almost the same pay day. Woods only played in 16 PGA Tour events compared to Spieth’s 25 PGA Tour events. Williams would have finished 30th on the money list in 2007.
