Anthony Kim is back in the golf news world for the second time in as many months. Before his emergence on Instagram in a picture with Ric Solomon and Jean-Robert Bellande in April, Kim was a ghost. Now, it seems, Kim will be back on a golf course, but probably not in the sense that most AK fans would like.
During the 12th Annual Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic, which raised over $1.2 million dollars, one of the auctioned items included an “outing with pro golfer Anthony Kim,” that sold for $24,500. An “outing” may or may not include Kim playing golf with the winner, but since the exact details of the insurance policy that Kim is set to collect are unknown and may require him not swinging a club at all, the prize could be a trip to the course with Kim as a caddy. Hell, it could even be a trip to Vegas with Kim as a wing man. Now if it does come to light that Kim is allowed to play golf with the winner of this auction, we finally have an answer to the question of whether or not Kim is allowed to actually play golf, just not on the PGA Tour.
Either way, it’s nice to actually have Kim in the news again because it lets everyone know that he is still around, just not where we’d like to see him, on the course thrashing Sergio in Ryder Cup match-ups.
