Bulls vs. Celtics final score: Bulls offense explodes as they take commanding 2-0 lead

regular season is for chumps!

What is happening?!? The Bulls offense, a not-great unit, put up 111 points on the Celtics in (what you’d think) was a must-win game for them. Chicago was in a very early hole but quickly took control, and held that control for much of the game.

The much-maligned three alpha formation worked out great in this one, with all three of Butler, Rondo, and Wade putting up big games. Wade was an even bigger surprise than Rondo, but he was in playoff mode with 3 three-pointers that helped the Bulls pull away in the 2nd half.

Robin Lopez was spectacular again on the offensive glass and raining in jumpers, as he finished with 18 points. And the breakout bench performance tonight came from Paul Zipser, who had 16 points on 6-8 FGs.

The Celtics once again had their issues with rebounding and turnovers, and shot barely over 30% on threes. It’s not like the Bulls have some great home-court advantage, but the thing that has them winning this series is that they’re playing like the better team.

Full recap to come.
