Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t the highest-paid athlete in the world for nothing. On Wednesday during Portugal’s all-important Euro 2016 match with Hungary, Ronaldo found his team trailing 2-1 early in the second half. Well that didn’t last thanks to the Real Madrid star.
After a 47th minute goal gave Hungary a 2-1 advantage, A Selecção seized the initiative and garnered a quick chance that sailed wide. Soon after, João Mario came down the right side and sent a cross towards Ronaldo, who responded brilliantly. The 31-year-old used the back of his right heel to re-direct the ball past Hungarian keeper Gabor Kiraly for a 50th minute tally. Check it out:
