District Attorney Drops Charges Against Alabama's Cam Robinson and Hootie Jones, Because They Work and Sweat

The District Attorney in Monroe, Louisiana announced that he is not bringing charges against Alabama football players Cam Robinson and Hootie Jones, after they were arrested on drug possession and weapon possession charges.

In addition to citing insufficient evidence, he provided an interesting answer for the main reason he is not bringing charges against the two players:

“I want to emphasize once again that the main reason I’m doing this is that I refuse to ruin the lives of two young men who have spent their adolescence and teenage years, working and sweating, while we were all in the air conditioning.”

Is this a case of someone not wanting to impact the draft status of a top five pick like Cam Robinson? I hope that roofers who get into legal trouble get the same treatment, because that is the definition of working outdoors and sweating while everyone else is sitting in the air conditioning.
