UML's Dontavious Smith Shattered a Backboard During a Breakaway Dunk Attempt

This afternoon, UMASS- Lowell’s Dontavious Smith almost reenacted the famous “SEND IT IN, JEROME!!!” moment from the 1980’s when Pittsburgh’s Jerome Lane posterized some poor soul and shattered the backboard during a dunk:

Anyways, today: against Division III Wheelock College, Dontavious didn’t dunk on anybody … nor did he technically dunk at all … but, he did break the backboard into 1000 pieces — something us basketball fans haven’t seen televised in what seems like forever.
