Notre Dame will be the home team when they take on Boston College tonight at Fenway Park despite the fact the South Bend campus is some 800 miles away. The matchup, part of the Shamrock Series, is the first meaningful football game played at the historic ballpark since December 1, 1968.
The unique atmosphere comes with some logistical problems. The Eagles, whose campus is just four miles away, won’t have a proper locker room and are planning to arrive at the game just 90 minutes before kickoff. And the smaller capacity means tickets cost an arm and a leg.
On the bright side, though, the place looks downright magical.
