Jahlil Okafor is somehow having more trouble off the court than the 0-17 Sixers are having on the court. Early on Thanksgiving morning, Okafor was involved in a fight outside a club in Boston. Later that day, CSN Philly released a story about another confrontation involving Okafor. In October he was allegedly involved in an altercation, this time in Philadelphia. Via CSN Philly:
The 19-year-old Sixers’ rookie was outside an Old City nightclub after 2 a.m. on Oct. 4 when he and another person began arguing with two men sitting in a parked car near the corner of 2nd and Walnut Streets, according to a witness. The verbal disagreement escalated and a witness said he saw Okafor try to punch the driver through the open driver’s side window. During the altercation, the driver and passenger exited the car and the passenger pointed a gun in the direction of Okafor and his associate, per the witness.
That’s twice Okafor was out late and tried to fight civilians in two months. Now a story has come out that Okafor was pulled over earlier this month doing 108 MPH on the Ben Franklin Bridge. What’s next? The rookie is averaging 18 points and 7.9 rebounds this season.
