Baylor QB Jarrett Stidham has a broken ankle and will miss the remainder of the season, according to a report from KWTX News 10 in Waco. Stidham was hurt in the last game against Oklahoma State, and continued to play with the injury in the second half before being replaced by third-string QB Chris Johnson. On Monday, Stidham was seen in a walking boot and crutches (picture below), and earlier this week Art Briles called him “highly questionable.”
Baylor, 7th in the most recent CFB Playoff Rankings, plays at TCU on Friday in a game to preserve their outside shot at a playoff spot. They will try to duplicate what Ohio State did last year, go to their 3rd string QB due to injuries, and then put up an impressive performance to sway the committee (They probably also need an Oklahoma loss, or multiple things like Notre Dame and one of the other contenders losing).
