Zygi Wilf Compared Getting a New Stadium to Difficulty of Winning a Super Bowl

Zygi Wilf is a Bond Villain

Zygi Wilf spoke with a group of reporters at a charity event. You might have seen his comments on Adrian Peterson, or how much he likes this team’s chances.

Then, there was this:

Here’s your reminder that the Minnesota Vikings have never won a Super Bowl (sorry, Vikings fans). They have, however, played in multiple stadiums. Over the last 20 years, you can count on one hand the number of franchises that haven’t either moved into a new stadium (whether by relocation, expansion, or a new stadium in same city), or had major renovations–usually at significant public cost–done on an existing one.

Two of those (Chargers and Raiders) are now embroiled in the Los Angeles rumor mill that just so recently was used as leverage for Wilf pulling off the impossible dream and getting his stadium.

Meanwhile, only 12 franchises have won a Super Bowl.

What he probably meant is that winning a big fraud case is harder than winning a Super Bowl.
