Steve Kerr rolled the dice by going with a small line-up, starting Andre Iguodola for Andrew Bogut, and it paid off. Iguodola outplayed LeBron James — something, as Jeff Van Gundy noted, does not happen often — scoring 22 points and grabbing 8 rebounds. The turning point in the game came when LeBron sat out in the beginning of the fourth quarter, and a six-point game quickly became 10, and swelled from there.
The Cavs ran out of gas. Matthew Dellavedova was not the defensive irritant he’d been in the first three games of the series. JR Smith and Iman Shumpert shot a combined 4-21 from the field. LeBron didn’t play badly or anything, but he wasn’t the superhuman force that this flawed Cleveland team needs him to be. Timofey Mozgov was a lone bright spot, scoring a career high 28 points against the undersized Warriors line-up.
In order to win the series, the Cavs are going to have to win another game at the Oracle Arena, which is no small task.
