Luis Suarez fired home the rebound after Gigi Buffon saved a Lionel Messi shot. Neymar added a cherry on top in the dying moments. Barcelona beat Juventus 3-1, winning the 2014-15 Champions League. This is the Catalans’ fourth time lifting the trophy since 2005. With the Primera Liga title and the Copa del Rey, they are Europe’s undisputed best team. The only debate is how this group stacks against the best teams of all time.

Juventus frustrated Barcelona. They equalized and looked the better team for the first part of the second half. But, the Italian side were going to need a bit of luck to win this. They never quite found it. Even the best defense has cracks and seams. Messi/Neymar/Suarez will find them. They’re unfair. A vintage effort from Buffon in goal gave Juve a chance.

Xavi came on as a substitute for his 767th and final appearance for Barcelona. This was his fourth Champions League triumph. He also won eight league titles and three Copa del Rey’s. And don’t forget the two European Championships and a World Cup he won with Spain. Hell of a run.
