WCWS underway in OKC; Florida and LSU get wins

OKLAHOMA CITY – Florida picked up right where it left off a year ago at the Women’s College World Series on Thursday, opening play at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium with a dominating 7-2 win over Tennessee.

The defending national champs are looking for a return to the best-of-three championship series, which begins Monday night.

The Gators will take on another SEC foe on Friday in LSU, which beat Auburn 6-1 in the second game of the day.

Westwood One will once again bring you live coverage of the best-of-three championship series, with Kevin Kugler and Leah O’Brien-Amico on the call. Coverage begins Monday at 7:45 PM Eastern.
