Per the New York Daily News, tickets to Game 7 of the NHL Eastern Conference Final between the New York Rangers vs. Tampa Bay Lightning were the most expensive of the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs so far.
Furthermore…
As of 2:50 p.m., there were 1,390 tickets left on StubHub.com. The cheapest tickets available were in section 415, row 7. Two tickets in that row could be had for $477.81 apiece. One ambitious seller listed a ticket in section 223 at $20,000. The second-most expensive ticket available at that time was a VIP Rinkside West seat in section 5, row AA. Between one and three of those seats were available for $8,241.25 each.
According to [StubHub spokesperson Cameron] Papp, the average ticket price sold on the site was $1,083.
So, with this in mind: CBC’s rinkside reporter Scott Oake decided to interview a fan by the name of Will Rouse, and inquired how much he paid for his exlclusive “on the glass” seat.
This absolutely GLORIOUS interview is what ensued…
Yup, confirmed: that did it for me. From this moment on, I am only paying for things in HUNDREDS ONLY until i run out of money. Unless it’s something Will Rouse would do, I’m not interested.
If you didn’t know, now you know: Benjamin Franklin is still killin’ the game.
