Notre Dame vs. Duke: Betting Odds, Preview, Trends, Matchup

Duke looks to avenge last week's loss to Notre Dame with a win at home this week.

Since suffering back-to-back losses in the middle of January, the Duke Blue Devils are 5-1 SU and 3-2-1 ATS over their last six games. The one SU loss over that stretch came against the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame and Duke are set to tip off again at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

The Blue Devils are one of the top contenders to win the NCAA Tournament this year at 9/1, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Blue Devils are 0-2 SU and ATS in two games against Notre Dame since the Fighting Irish joined the ACC, but this will be Duke's first crack at them at home.

Led by freshman superstar center Jahlil Okafor, Duke jumped out to a 14-0 SU start to the season. However, since then the Blue Devils are just 5-3 SU and 3-4-1 ATS. Those five wins do include impressive road upsets against Louisville and Virginia, but Duke was unable to solve Notre Dame in a 77-70 loss back on Jan. 28.

The Blue Devils get another shot against the Irish on Saturday, but are just 2-6-1 ATS over their last nine home games.

After winning 11 straight from the end of November to the beginning of January, the Fighting Irish have gone 6-2 SU and 3-5 ATS over their last eight games. Notre Dame is going off at 22/1 to win the championship on the college basketball futures. The Irish picked up an impressive road win at North Carolina as an 8-point underdog on Jan. 5, but are coming off a 76-72 loss to Pitt in their last road game.

With Duke ranking 11th in the nation in total offense and Notre Dame ranking seventh, this game has the potential to be a high-scoring one. The OVER is 3-1 over the last four meetings between Duke and Notre Dame according to the OddsShark college basketball database.

Duke had its home win streak snapped at 41 games last month in a shocking 90-74 loss to Miami. The Blue Devils should come out motivated to pick up a statement win at home and to get some revenge on Notre Dame in this one.
