2015 NHL schedule: Nashville homecoming awaits Washington's Barry Trotz

Nashville's legendary coach returns to town for the first time as an opponent.

Putting aside time to watch the NHL on Friday should be a priority considering there will be two intriguing homecomings taking place.

Washington Capitals head coach Barry Trotz returns to Nashville as an opponent after spending 15 years behind the Predators' bench. Trotz is essentially a legend in Nashville at this point, so expect an incredibly warm welcome for him. The homecoming is interesting, however, considering his replacement is a frontrunner for the Jack Adams trophy as coach of the year. Peter Laviolette has led Trotz's old squad to one of the best records in the league.

Meanwhile, Rick Nash will make another return to the city he carried for years when the New York Rangers visit the Columbus Blue Jackets. Nash has thrived in the Big Apple since leaving the Jackets a couple years ago, and he always seems to play well against the team he used to captain.
