Miami's Angel Rodriguez drills 5 threes in final minutes to upset Florida

No. 8 Florida led by 14 with eight minutes to go... then Angel Rodriguez showed up.

We have our first loss by a top 10 team in 2014-15. No. 8 Florida looked to be en route to a comfortable win over Miami when Angel Rodriguez caught absolute fire, guiding the Hurricanes to a 69-67 win over the Gators.

Rodriguez scored 20 points in the final seven minutes of the game -- five threes, plus three free throws when he was fouled while shooting a three -- to rally the Hurricanes back from a deficit that reached as much as 15. This cold-blooded shot from well beyond the three-point arc with 18-seconds left turned out to be the game-winner:

Eli Carter was called for a charge at the other end of the floor, and that all but sealed the deal.

Rodriguez, a Kansas State transfer just beginning his Miami career, only had four points before his late-game frenzy. The Miami win also snaps Florida's 33-game home winning streak in only their second home game of the season.
