Jonathan Lucroy Vetoes Trade to Indians

Jonathan Lucroy, the Milwaukee Brewers 2-time All-Star catcher, has vetoed a trade that would have sent him to the Cleveland Indians. According to ESPN, the deal was all but done earlier Sunday with the Indians ready to send four minor league prospects to Milwaukee. The only thing the teams were waiting on was Lucroy to waive his no trade clause. He didn’t.

Lucroy was drafted by the Brewers in 2007 and has spent his entire career in Milwaukee. He still has one year (a team option) remaining on his current contract and the Indians were one of 8 teams in his no trade clause. Earlier today the Indians completed a trade to acquire Andrew Miller from the Yankees.
