Denard Robinson and a female passenger were found asleep in a Chevy Impala at 4:22am on Sunday. Police determined that Robinson, who was at the wheel, wasn’t impaired. The car was sinking in a retention pond when police arrived. Via ESPN:
Robinson’s car was totaled. Authorities didn’t observe any skid marks to indicate Robinson tried to hit his brakes before the car hit the water.
Robinson issued a statement on Twitter on Tuesday. The Jaguars are aware of the incident. This story is very weird.
