Sam Querrey, a 6′ 6″ 28-year old American, upset Novak Djokovic (7-6, 6-1, 3-6, 7-6) in the third round at Wimbledon. Djokovic, the world #1 and two-time defending Wimbledon champion, had won the previous four Grand Slam titles. Querrey won the first two sets before Djokovic staged a comeback that was interrupted by rain on multiple occasions.
The 2016 Wimbledon title race is now wide open. Roger Federer has already advanced to the quarterfinals.
