Though he’s only 21-years-old, Detroit Red Wings winger Andreas Athanasiou has already made a name for himself by scoring spectacular goals. His skill set has many analysts wondering just how special he can be once he gets a little seasoning.
Moves like the one he turned in Monday night against Dallas only add to the intrigue.
Athanasiou broke a 1-1 tie in the third period by eluding Johnny Oduya with deft toe drag before going top shelf over a sprawling Antti Niemi. Every move involved was a thing of beauty.
