Bears fan Mike Pantazis leapt over a tunnel to snatch this extra point in a Week Two matchup between Chicago and Green Bay in 1995. I don’t recall ever seeing it before, until it crossed my Reddit feed a couple days ago, and if something like this happened today it would be a seismic occurrence on social media.
It’s not as though it went undocumented at the time—Pantazis won an ESPY, and appeared on Letterman, where he looked and sounded like he could be a nemesis character on Seinfeld:

And last year, in commemoration of the catch’s 20th anniversary, Sam Gardner wrote a retrospective on the catch for Fox Sports, in which Pantazis revealed his preparation and methodology in his effort to land the souvenir.
I imagine that I saw this highlight in 1995, either from watching the game or seeing it on SportsCenter. But, being eight years old at the time, the memory of it had since escaped me.
